Dragonfly Aerial Arts Studio is located at 1805 Maryville Pike not too far from Mt. Olive Baptist Church. Dragonfly Aerial Arts Studio rents the cavernous warehouse space from Break Through Knoxville, which offers support and opportunities for adults with Autism Spectrum Disorder. Dragonfly Aerial Arts was founded by six local aerial performers and is a not-for-profit, small business.

Dragonfly Aerial Arts Studio offers classes for youth through adults of any age in Static Trapeze (as opposed to the Flying Trapeze), where skills are learned and performed on a single bar and Aerial Silks where skills are learned and performed on a piece of fabric looped high up in the ceiling. Safety is observed by working low to the ground and with large mats on the floor.

The benefits of Aerial Arts are increase flexibility, core and upper body strength. In addition, because there is no impact on the joints (as in running or step classes), there is no upper age limit for Aerial Arts. Students are encouraged to work to their own level.

The studio has a very easy way to see if Aerial Arts are for you. Every Monday, Dragonfly Aerial Arts Studio offers a "Try Me" class at 8:00 p.m. every Monday. No prior experience is necessary for this class. The student will be introduced to both the Static Trapeze and Aerial Silks. The "Try Me" class is offered at a cost of $20.00 and reservations are a must.
