A recent article was published by "Wii U Daily" on Mar. 9, 2013, exposing an upcoming bundle for the MMORPG, "Dragon Quest X." The "Dragon Quest X" bundle will be for sale exclusively in Japan on March 30, 2013. In the meantime, we get the chance to look at the very nicely detailed box design for the "Wii U" bundle.
The bundle includes the "Wii U" console, a "Pro Controller", one copy of the "Dragon Quest X" game and a ¥1000 pre-paid card for in-game use. Additionally, the package includes five "Super Energy Orbs" that increase the amount of experience and gold earned in-game. "Dragon Quest X" will support cross-platform connectivity with the "Wii" and the "Wii U," allowing gamers to transfer their game data between consoles.
As sales for the "Wii U" have not been doing so well, Nintendo hopes that a bundle release featuring one of Japan's most beloved RPG series will kick things into gear. "Dragon Quest X" has not been released anywhere other than Japan and it is unlikely for Square Enix and Nintendo to keep it that way.
