Centuries before the events of Dragon Age: Inquisition, the elven nation was defeated on the fields of The Exalted Plains. According to the developer’s detail description, the region has long since served as a reminder of the human Chantry’s victory over the elves. The civil war that erupts in Orlais causes the old fight in the Dales to wage once more. Only now the spirits of the soldiers from the past are rising to take part in the bloodshed due to the rifts in the fade that are endangering the world of Thedas.

Dragon Age: Inquisition is being developed on the Frostbite 3 engine and is scheduled to release this fall on Xbox One, PS4, PC, Xbox 360, and PS3. Bioware plans to reveal more details on The Exalted Plain later this week.
