With six of the eight potential love interests within Dragon Age: Inquisition announced, the identity of one of the final two remaining romance options was inadvertently leaked by the executive producer of the Dragon Age series. Bioware’s Mark Darrah tweeted on Aug. 30 that Solas, the elf mage companion who will fight by the player’s side in the upcoming release, will also be one of the many characters available for gamers to romance.

Darrah, later revealed that his confirmation of Solas as a love interest was accidental after he casually referenced the fact that fans will be able to enter into a romantic relationship with the mage. The executive producer stated that he simply thought that the information had already been officially revealed after jokingly telling gamers that the chances for him to leak more details increases as the launch of Dragon Age: Inquisition draws near.

While Solas is one of eight total romance options, not everyone will actually be able to become involved with the companion character. Of all of the love options that have been announced thus far, Solas is the pickiest. Darrah confirmed that he will only be romantically interested in a female elf Inquisitor. Each romance option from Dragon Age: Inquisition will belong exclusively to specific sexual persuasion such as straight, gay, or bisexual. However, Solas is the first character that has been confirmed to only be interested in a single race.

Dragon Age: Inquisition launches on Nov. 18 for the Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS4, PS3, and PC. With the reveal that Solas will be possible love interest in Bioware's upcoming game, only one final roman option remains a mystery.
