Casey Hudson has announced that he is leaving Bioware. According to a report from NZ Gamer on Aug. 8, the executive producer behind the "Mass Effect" video games revealed that he wanted to move on from the company in order to take a break and enter the next phase in his life. However, he did not specific what his future endeavors are going to be.

Casey Hudson went on to reassure fans that Bioware is still in great shape even with his departure. He stated that the foundation has been set for the new intellectual property to enter into pre-production. The project was mentioned during a developer's diary that was first shown during the Electronic Entertainment Expo in June. Furthermore, the development of the tentatively-titled "Mass Effect 4" has been progressing steadily. The team has been creating new assets and playable builds in order to make the next installment from the science-fiction role-playing series the best installment yet.

Finally, he talked up "Dragon Age Inquisition." The executive producer at Bioware mentioned that the finishing touches are being put into the project. The dark fantasy role-playing game was slated to come out on Oct. 7 before being delayed by more than a month to Nov. 18. It appears that the development won't be suffering from any more setbacks.

He also complimented the graphics from "Dragon Age Inquisition" by saying that the visuals are some of the best he have ever saw for a video game. Bioware decided to switch over to the Frostbite 3 to develop the sequel. You can find an in-game screen near the top of this article (via the official Facebook site for the series). The same engine is being used in other upcoming games such as "Battlefield Hardline," "Star Wars Battlefront 3" and the aforementioned "Mass Effect 4." The next game from the "Mass Effect" franchise does not have a formal release date.
