Bioware has previously confirmed that Dragon Age: Inquisition will include features to help players navigate the world which are generally found in more action-oriented titles such as the ability to spring and jump. Continuing to unveil new movement abilities within the game, Dragon Age Creative Director Mike Laidlaw confirmed on April 4 that fans will be able to use new dodge mechanics that differ depending on their selected class.

Different classes will have different skills that allow them to move about the field of battle in order to evade threatening attacks. Laidlaw announced on Saturday that these dodge skills can be purchased from skill trees using talent points.

The game’s creative director also revealed that the abilities won’t be universal to all classes. For example, warriors will be able to roll out of danger while mages can move so quickly that they seemingly “blink” out of sight and into a new location.

The inclusion of dodge mechanics are just another feature in a growing list of new mechanics that are being added to the franchise for the first time in this fall’s new release. Dragon Age: Inquisition is slated to launch on Xbox One, PS4, PC, Xbox 360, and PS3.
