As the third title in the Dragon Age franchise, Bioware plans to take lessons they’ve learned while creating the first two entries to help craft a better game. Players can expect to see more of what made the series popular to begin with, such as tactical party combat and romance options, while introducing fans of the series to larger maps and improved battle mechanics. Players won’t be returning to play either the Grey Warden or Hawke of Kirkwall in the upcoming game; instead they will take on the role of an Inquisitor as war approaches. Also returning to the series is the ability to choose the race the main character. Confirmed races include Human, Dwarf, Elf, and Qunari

Dragon Age: Inquisition is currently scheduled to release in 2014 for the Xbox One, Playstation 4, PC, Xbox 360, and Playstation 3. It is currently being developed by Bioware Montreal using the Frostbite 3 engine.
