Dragon Age: Inquisition obviously has a major emphasis when it comes to combat. There seems to be some strong variety in its combat though as players will be able to choose the types of classes they want in their parties, and that will definitely impact combat in Dragon Age: Inquisition.

Among the classes you can choose in Dragon Age: Inquisition, players will be able to choose between warriors, mages and rogues. Dragon Age: Inquisition Producer Cameron Lee spoke about how combat and battles will take place as it relates to the classes you choose and its impact on a battle.

"It’s kind of a combination of the two. We design the fights and the encounters, for the most part, assuming that there’s probably going to be a warrior, a mage and a rogue. So that’s three of the four [party members] that you can have. So the fourth one provides a little bit more flexibility to be whatever you want.

"So we generally design them like that, but that’s not to say that you can’t go in there with four mages, because you totally can. If you decide to do that, I’m sure you’ll be able to do it, but you’ve got to think about how to do it.

"The combat systems and the creatures and the enemy abilities, it’s so bloody complex that it’s almost impossible to create fixed encounters, so we just do it with a broad sense of assuming that there’s one of each class, and if they want to do all rogues, or all mages, or all warriors, or whatever combination, then have fun; go mental. If you want to do four mages, it’s great fun, I’ll tell you that [laughs]," Lee said.

Dragon Age: Inquisition's combat is going to be crucial for the overall product. It's an important part of what the game will end up being, so it's interesting to note the amount of variety players may have with combat. Being able to interchange the classes you have fighting alongside you will undoubtedly provide differentiated battles.

Dragon Age: Inquisition will feature the biggest world in the franchise's history. It's the first installment since we saw Dragon Age II in 2011 and will be amount the slew of launches that are coming on Oct. 7. Dragon Age: Inquisition will be available on PS4, Xbox One, PS3, Xbox 360 and PC.

Thanks, AusGamers.
