The new media assets feature character models as well as several indoor and outdoor environments. In addition to the highly-detailed textures, the sequel also features better lighting when compared to the previous installment of the “Dragon Age” series. You can check out the new updated screens, as well as several older shots, in the slideshow to the left of this article.

Mark Darrah also disclosed that the development team is still getting their tech lock down. “Dragon Age 3: Inquisition” uses the Frostbite 3 graphics engine, which was not originally designed to accommodate for role-playing games. As a result, the development had to modify the tools.

Mark Darrah and the rest of his staff at the Montreal branch of Bioware recently finished creating a holiday build of the upcoming title. The final version of “Dragon Age 3: Inquisition” is still expected to be released by Electronic Arts in the fall season of 2014 for the PC, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One gaming platforms.
