Terri Bilderbeck, Office Manager for Dr. Vincent Zubowicz, Center for Plastic Surgery, sent an email this morning with her photo showing her skin less than 24 hours after treatment with the Pearl Laser.
Dr. Zubowicz says the Pearl Laser is the best in-office laser. He wrote the following in his blog about the Pearl Laser, "The Pearl laser has the ability to successfully treat specific (and relatively minor) aging problems. My satisfaction with its performance justifies the acquisition.Another strong advantage is the requirement for only one or two treatments to get the maximum benefit. Finally, the healing phase after treatment is relatively short and tidy. Many lasers damage the skin so deeply that an open wound ensues, requiring the patient to nurse the treated area with various washes and emollients. The Pearl, on the other hand, leaves the treated area covered by the epidermis that has been ablated. In about 3 or 4 days, this layer of the skin flakes off as new epidermis is generated. The skin is now pink, much like a sunburn. Makeup can be applied. In about 3 days more, the skin looks a healthy pink without any cover up. Physically, there are really no restrictions even immediately after treatment."
Terri reported this morning, "It's been less than 24 hours and it has not been bad at all. I had some dark spots and a small amount of creping under my eyes. These were the issues that I addressed with Dr. Zubowicz. I know it works on the dark spots but Dr. Zubowicz and I are experimenting with the under eye issue. If you would like to join my red faced club give us a call."
There is a bit of care involved after the laser treatment. You will be given instructions and a list of items to purchase for your at-home care. You will begin to peel in about 3 days and usually by the fifth day, most of the peeling is gone and your skin will glow. Use a bit of Cetaphil lotion and you can resume wearing makeup in about a week.

Terri said "it has not been bad at all" and included her photo to prove it. Check out her photo that she courageously allowed me to use.
