Dr. Sketchy returns this Sunday

After a month-long hiatus Houston’s favorite "anti-art achool," Dr. Sketchy, returns this Sunday for an afternoon of booze, beats and broads. The fun begins at 2 p.m. at AvantGarden, 411 Westheimer.

Cameras and sketchpads are welcome, although photographers are generally asked to stop shooting at 4 p.m. so the models and artists can use the final hour as a more intimate posing experience. Non-artists are always welcome - you can scribble with crayons, talk with friends or just have a drink and enjoy the creative atmosphere.

This month’s model, the headmistress of the Lady Grace Academy (for the instruction of burlesque and feminine arts), promises to bring her unique burlesque flair to the proceedings.

Cost of admission is $10. For more information, visit houstonsketchy.com.
