Dr. Sears to speak at the Indy Health Expo on Sunday, January 24, 2010

Dr. James Sears, known to the nation as pediatrician ‘Dr. Jim’ on the TV talk show The Doctors, will speak at the Indy Health Expo this Sunday afternoon. The topic of his presentation is “The Healthiest Kid in the Neighborhood.”

The presentation is based on Dr. Sears’ book, The Healthiest Kid in the Neighborhood. According the his official website, the book “identifies foods and eating habits that can counter or prevent many common illnesses. It explains how parents can shape young tastes to crave the right proportions of healthy foods, and how young metabolisms can be programmed to make the most of the nutrients kids consume while their bodies and brains are growing.”

The admission price for entrance to the Indy Health Expo is $10 for one day.

According the Indy Health Expo Facebook fan page, Dr. Sears will autograph copies of his book after his presentation. Copies of the book must be purchased at the event in order for them to be signed. The book signing will take place from 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm in the WISH-TV booth at the expo.

 The Doctors can be seen weekdays at 4:00 pm on Indianapolis WISH-TV Channel 8.
