During the May 5 episode of the Dr. Oz Show, Dr. Oz shared his latest plan to help viewers rid their body of unwanted belly fat. The Rapid Belly Melt Plan consists of three simple steps to add to your diet and exercise regimen to speed up the loss of those stubborn inches around your mid section.

Take Forskolin with your breakfast

Forskolin is a root found in the mint family that is known to aid in burning fat. This powerful root targets the fat in your body and does not affect muscle formation aiding in your efforts to flatten your belly.

Dr. Oz recommends taking 125 mg before breakfast. Before purchasing this supplement make sure the product contains at least 10% forskolin and it would be wise to consult your physician before starting this regimen.

Rid your body of visceral fat

Visceral fat is found closest to the organs and can be the most dangerous of fats that can be stored in your body. An accumulation of visceral fat can negatively affect your hormones and cause inflammation in your body. Visceral fat is formed in the body through sugar, unhealthy carbs and refined flours.

The key to ridding your body of visceral fat is cutting out unhealthy carbs, lowering your sugar intake and adding spices to your diet that help regulate your blood sugar levels. These spices include cinnamon, clove, oregano, cayenne, and turmeric. Dr. Oz recommends adding ½ teaspoon of one of these spices to every meal.

Add green tea lemonade to your diet

Green tea has gained popularity in recent years for its high level of antioxidants and ability to boost one’s metabolism. Lemon juice is a natural fat burner and will provide a feeling of fullness. The combination of these two ingredients will aid in your efforts to rid your body of unwanted fat.

Dr. Oz recipe consists of 2 cups of warm water, 1 green tea bag, and ½ of a squeezed lemon. Drink two cups hot or cold per day.
