Who are we to argue with Dr. Mehmet Oz? If he says it’s ok to cheat on your diet, then it’s ok to cheat, right?
Coined ‘Fat-urday,’ the Dr. Oz ‘cheat’ plan lets you cheat on your diet within reason. The main idea behind this weekly ‘cheat’ is that it gives the body a break from the constraints of a diet. The belief is that depriving yourself too much can lead to severe unhealthy cravings.
On the Dr. Oz plan, the ‘cheat’ day restricts you to 1,400 calories. So, this is not a day of ‘free’ eating with anything on the menu – not by any means.
The key elements of the ‘Fat-urday’ plan are:
· Choose your cheat day
· Take away the temptation to binge
· Eat your meals on a schedule
