He said arnica gel is as effective as over-the-counter drugs to relieve pain and soreness. Simply massage the gel three times a day into the area that's sore.

2. Black elderberry syrup (to boost immunity). To enhance your immune system and and fight germs, take black elderberry syrup. You can take it every day to prevent colds, flu and boost your immune system. Drink it by itself or add to a warm drink.

3. Ginger tea (for tummy aches). Dr. Oz said ginger tea gets rid of stomach aches. You can either drink ginger tea or add slices of fresh ginger to a cup of hot water.

4. Pumpkin seed powder (to aid sleep). Dr. Oz said pumpkin seed powder helps you fall and stay asleep by boosting serotonin levels, which induces relaxation. Add one to two teaspoons of pumpkin seed powder to warm milk and drink 30 to 60 minutes before bedtime.

5. Yoga (for stress relief). Dr. Oz's guest was Steve Ross, author of Happy Yoga. Dr. Oz, who does yoga every day, said yoga is an extremely effective way to reduce stress.

Ross said one of the best poses to induce relaxation is the seated forward bend: Sit on the floor with your legs out straight. Lower your upper body onto your legs as far as you can comfortably go. Take several deep breaths and repeat this pose three times a day. Dr. Oz said this pose will instantly calm you.
