Advocates of gluten-free, dairy-free, sugar-free diets claim that they can cure symptoms ranging from memory problems to bloating to depression. Dr. Mehmet Oz, who has become famed for featuring holistic health topics on his talk show, wants to help you understand just how that type of diet might help you feel better emotionally and physically. His April 11 talk show featured superstar Gwyneth Paltrow, who just published a new gluten-free, sugar-free, dairy-free cookbook: "It's All Good: Delicious, Easy Recipes That Will Make You Look Good and Feel Great" (click here for ordering details).

Gwyneth has become famed for her belief in holistic health practices, regularly providing information to her followers on natural detox plans and pure foods on her Goop site. In this cookbook, Gwyneth focuses on how you can eat great while benefiting from her strict elimination diet, which healed her own health problems, from stress to fatigue. Dishing with Dr. Oz, Gwyneth defended her decision to exclude dairy, sugar, wheat, corn and eggs from her own diet and that of her family, pointing out that her food plan did resolve her health concerns. As her cookbook proves, following such a strict elimination diet does not preclude enjoying comfort foods ranging from dumplings to dessert.

In addition, Gwyneth says that she benefits from the clean eating program that Dr. Oz also featured, which was created by Dr. Alejandro Junger. You can learn more about that program, about which Gwyneth says, "I can report that it worked wonders," by getting "Clean -- Expanded Edition: The Revolutionary Program to Restore the Body's Natural Ability to Heal Itself."
