How it works: Celebrity weight loss guru Chris, who authored "Choose to Lose: The 7-Day Carb Cycle Solution," has created a diet that lets you pick and choose from three columns (see the photo for details): Fat-fighting proteins, hunger-curbing high-fiber foods and metabolism boosters. Choose one of each and create your miracle meal. Here's a sample day of miracle meals:
- Breakfast: One low-carb tortilla, heated and spread with low-fat white cheese (pop under broiler until it melts or in microwave). Sprinkle with cinnamon and ginger.
- Lunch: A salad made of veggies that include tomatoes and peppers. Top with salsa rather than salad dressing and mix in one can or pouch of drained, water-packed salmon. With it: Brown rice sprinkled with garlic.
- Dinner: Make a stir-fry with tofu, lots of herbs including garlic and a dash of ginger, black beans, peppers, assorted veggies and a dash of Tabasco. Serve over buckwheat pasta.
