I believe Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. would say something like man's law should not prohibit any two people from getting married. However, I also believe Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. would also say something similar to the effect, don't confuse man's law with God's Law.
States who allow Same Sex Marriage are not saying Same Sex Marriage is ok or even acceptable. What these states are saying is we live in a free country, if two individuals of the same sex wish to get married, it is not within the states authority to say they cannot.
No judge on this earth supersedes the authority of God. God has stated his laws within the Holy Bible. The Holy Bible is for our individual interpretation and it will be us as individuals who stand in judgment before God. I believe the Holy Bible is irrefutable when it comes to stating that homosexuality is wrong. I believe it will make no difference in God's eyes whether states allow Same Sex Marriages or they do not, because the ultimate decision for our actions lies within each of us.
Wherefore, my suggestion and that of the Universal Life Church World Headquarters to homosexuals and lesbians is this, rather than rely on the laws within your state, I suggest that you read the Holy Bible and take into consideration God's law. You may be able to twist the Holy Bible here on Earth and in this life, but you will not be able to do the same standing before God.
