Dr. Marilyn Hickey, Evangelist, Pastor, Teacher, asks, "Are you ready for your miracle?"

Dr. Marilyn Hickey and her daughter, Sarah Bowling, are getting ready. Their “Keys to More Miracles Breakfast” is this Saturday, July 24, 2010, from 8:00 to Noon.

“My biggest meetings have been in my 70’s,” stated Dr. Hickey, who turned 79 recently.

Marilyn's amazing accomplishments can be likened to the Empire State Building:

  • Two billion viewers watch Today with Marilyn and Sarah hosted by Marilyn Hickey on Trinity Broadcasting Network (TBN), Daystar and several other stations around the world.
  • She has traveled to 125 countries, ministering in recent years in Sudan, Israel, Jordan, Egypt, India, Pakistan, China, Costa Rica and Greece. Christians from across the country can join her this October for her international venture to Morocco for prayer walking and sightseeing.
  • She travels to cities across the United States for Bible Encounters, speaking engagements and miracle breakfasts, the most recent of which will be here July 24, 2010 (details below) as well as holding monthly City Prayer meetings on the last Saturday of the month at Orchard Road Christian Center, from 9:00 to 10:00 am.

Yet, Marilyn remains as humble as her beginnings. Born in the town of Dalhart in the panhandle of Texas near Amarillo, Marilyn moved at the age of 10 with her parents and six-year-old brother to an apple farm in Sewickley, Pennsylvania outside of Pittsburgh.

She always had a hunger for God and remembers looking out the window and praying. She started memorizing the Bible, but her born again experience didn’t come until later.

At 16, she attended a Baptist Bible camp and that’s where she heard about receiving Christ. She said, “I was in the glory for three days.” Shortly thereafter, her father’s asthmatic condition forced them from the humid climate of Pennsylvania to Denver.

When she was 19, her father had a mental breakdown, resulting in his admission to a mental hospital.

At the time, Marilyn’s mother listened to Charles Blair, an Assembly of God preacher, on the radio. She attended Pastor Blair’s church, knowing nothing about the baptism of the Holy Spirit and became Spirit filled. It revolutionized her mother's life. She came home, started watching Oral Roberts, and prayed for her husband because she was told he would never come out of the mental hospital. She said, “He will come out.”

Marilyn said, “My mother was right. In a year, he was out, saved and water baptized.”

Marilyn attended South High and then CU for one year. She graduated from the University of Northern Colorado with a bachelor’s degree, a collective major in foreign languages and a minor in English. She speaks Spanish, French and Latin. She taught for three years after she and Wally Hickey married.

Are you ready for your miracle? The “Keys to More Miracles Breakfast” is this Saturday, July 24, 2010 at the Doubletree Hotel, 7801 E. Orchard Road, Greenwood Village from 8:00 am to 12 noon.
