DPS 'Career Fair': Hiring 100 teachers

The Detroit Public School system is looking to beef up their staff by hiring 100 new teachers due to retirement and resignations, according to the DPS web-site Friday.

The Career Fair will be held Friday, February 7, 2014 at Martin Luther King, Jr. Senior High School from 4:00 pm – 6:00 pm.

DPS students are out of school Friday.

Teachers who have an interest in improving the educational system of DPS are asked to come out Friday, and learn more about this exciting opportunity.

Detroit schools has been on a roller coaster ride for the past several years, but appears to be making some major improvements.

The Emergency Financial Manager helped uncover much of the mismanagement of funds, equipment and other poorly coordinated matters. Looks like all the bad apples are gone now.

Test scores have improved, and overall moral is up. Although some veteran teachers feel trapped in the system.

If you feel like you can help DPS students and have a heart for children, please attend the hiring event Friday, February 7 at Martin Luther King, Jr. Senior High School from 4:00 pm – 6:00 pm.
