Beginning November 14, 2013, guests to Disneyland Resort can enjoy the Downtown Disney Winter Village located around the ESPN Zone and AMC Theatres area of Downtown Disney. This is a holiday themed area to enjoy for the 2013 holiday season. The Winter Village includes holiday cottages, shops, a Christmas tree, and an ice rink.
The Winter Village will feature some holiday cottages along with shopping chalets where guests can browse and purchase gifts. The Winter Village also gets guests into the holiday mood with its 30-foot Christmas tree.
The centerpiece of the Winter Village is Olaf's Frozen Ice Rink. The ice rink is inspired by the snowman in the upcoming Disney theatrical release movie called Frozen. The ice rink will be open 3 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays and 3 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays.
Throughout the holiday season there will be other holiday activities taking place including carolers, the Anaheim Ballet performing "The Nutcraker," and a presentation of fun gift ideas.
