The 19th annual Screen Actors Guild Awards took place on Jan. 27, 2013, at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles. Here is what these Screen Actors Guild Award winners said backstage in the Golden Globe Awards press room.

What is it about the “Downton Abbey” cast that sets you apart to win this award?
Sophie McShera: There’s loads of us.
Phyllis Logan: Yes, there’s 10 times as many of us.
McShera: That might have swung it. There are about 22 of us.
Logan: So obviously, we go for quantity, not quality. [She laughs.]
Michelle Dockery: It’s really wonderful, and we wish that all of us could have been here tonight. We really miss everyone. And we’re all so proud to be a part of something so special that everyone has embraced. It’s really wonderful.
Dan Stevens is not coming back for Season 4 of “Downton Abbey.” Will you becoming back for Season 4 of “Downton Abbey”? And will this SAG Award encourage you to go to Hollywood and try your luck at being on any American shows?
Logan: Yes to all of those questions!
Dockery: We all wish Dan luck. He’s going on to do other things. We all wish him well. We’ll miss him.
Logan: Yes. Absolutely.
Can the ladies talk about their dresses and what they did to get ready?
Allen Leech: I designed them all, and I also made them all by hand. I’m joking. I had nothing to do with them getting together.
Dockery: We all coordinated quite well.
Logan: We [she points to McShera] were in the same hotel next door to one another, so Sophie and I had a girlie get ready together job with Christian Bier, which was wonderful. He got us all together.
McShera: Me and Michelle had a trying-on session the other day, which was a hilarious role reversal of Lady Mary and Daisy. She was putting me in all of my dresses and zipping me in. I really enjoyed that.
Do people come up to you in America because they recognize you and talk to you in depth about your “Downton Abbey” characters?
Dockery: They do.
Logan: Michelle and the rest of them, they probably know more about this than me because I rally haven’t been over [in America] much, but Michelle has for sure. So go on, Michelle.
Dockery: Once Laura Carmichael (who plays Edith Crawley) and I were out one evening in New York, and we ran into some fans. And the two of us were in jeans and leather jackets. And they could barely look at us both, because they were appalled that we were in modern clothes and not in fancy dresses. But it’s amazing the response here. It’s really wonderful.
