‘Downton Abbey' season 4 spoiler: Two dashing men cast to mend Lady Mary’s heart

“Downton Abbey” will be heading into its fourth season without the love of Lady Mary’s life, Matthew. As she grieves her tragic loss, two new men have been added to the canvas to bring some cheer, and maybe even new love to her life. The Telegraph confirmed on March 1 the addition of Julian Ovenden and Tom Cullen as two new visitors to Downton.

Cullen will play the role of Lord Gillingham, an old family friend that shows up to a gathering put on by the Crawley’s, with the intention of lifting the young widow’s spirits. Ovenden is cast as Charles Blake, an aristocrat who may be competing to put a smile on Mary's face as well. Which of these men will eventually win her heart? It is strongly suggested that Lord Gillingham will end up being the next romantic venture for Mary. If this is true, then the Welsh actor will have some big shoes to fill. It will be a long road as the new mom will be spending her time grieving over Matthew and struggling to raise her baby son on her own.

It sounds like Tom Cullen is thrilled to be a part of the Downton crew. He tweeted his excitement on his Twitter account saying, “I can announce that I'm in the new season four of Downton Abbey. So excited. My heart is beating a little too fast.”

What do you think of these two dashing guys that could become Lady Mary’s new man in season four of "Downton Abbey?
