"Downton Abbey" characters get a new cast member for the fourth season, and that member will be black, reports Gawker on Feb. 26, 2013. Casting notices were sent out earlier this month to find an actor to play Jack Ross, a handsome jazz musician, between 25 and 30, at "an exclusive club in the 20s."

As reported at Los Angeles Times, an average of 8.2 million viewers tuned into the third season series finale. It is a hit in the United States. As CNN described, "Americans love a period drama, and they dote on the British aristocracy."
