Korn has joined the growing line up for 2011’s Download Festival taking place June 10th through 12 at Donington Park, England.
Korn will join 20 scheduled performers including Alice Cooper, Danzig, The Cult, Thin Lizzy, Clutch, Avenged Sevenfold and GWAR with System of a Down and Linkin Park headlining the main stage.
News from the Bakersfield quartet have them working on their 10th studio album. The band have been writing and fleshing out songs in the studio, “tweaking them a little bit,” guitarist James “Munky” Shaffer told Zoiks.
No word if the follow-up to 2010’s Korn III: Remember Who You Are will be a concept album but Shaffer describes their direction as “a little bit of the Soundgarden style, that sort of Seattle sound.
"We'll probably start recording in April to try and fine tune this sound we're developing."
Korn are currently on the Music As A Weapon 5 Tour co-headlining with Disturbed. The band was kind enough to drop a free 30 minute mix-tape all mashed and remixed. Visit their website here for the free download.
