San Francisco resident, Jim McDonald, says, "This is not good news but it's not a surprise, there are market changes around the world and they are not looking good for investors."
The reason for the plummet is that S&P have changed the U.S. debt rating from AAA to A+. This has investors worried and they are looking for safer places to put their money.
