Victoria's Secret model Doutzen Kroes is celebrating her birthday today, on Jan. 23. According to Babble, the sexy supermodel is turning 28. She's already had an exciting year of shooting ads for Victoria's Secret and traveling with her supermodel friends.
The model also had an eventful career. Doutzen was born on Jan. 23, 1985 in the Netherlands. By 2003, she sent photos of herself to a modeling agency in Amsterdam.
This decision led her to international stardom. She also moved to New York during that year. By September 2004, she landed the coveted cover of Elle French magazine.
Ms. Kroes also took some major career risks. She replaced Christy Turlington as face of the Calvin Klein Eternity fragrance in 2005. She also became the face of Valentino in 2006.
Doutzen Kroes hasn't just walked the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show. She's also walked the shows for Dolce & Gabbana, Christian Dior and Isaac Mizrahi. Forbes reported in 2009 that she's one of the world's highest paid models. She's estimated to make $6 million per year.
