Double Dutch International president Jason Moring, announced today, May that Double Dutch has acquired international sales rights to the feature "4 Minute Mile," and will be introducing the title to international buyers in Cannes May 14-22, 2014.
"4 Minute Mile," is the inspirational story of Drew (Blatz), a talented high school track athlete struggling to overcome the inner-city surroundings that threaten to imprison him. Stuck in a family with a deadbeat older brother (Gigandet) and an overwhelmed single mom (Basinger), plus struggling with the affections of a girl at school (Tipton), Drew turns to running drug payments to a local dealer to keep his brother out of trouble. When his spot on the track team is taken from him, Drew turns to a damaged or broken ex-track coach (Jenkins) to reach for more within himself than he ever imagined possible. Each carrying demons of their own, the pair work towards finding solace, but Drew's resolve is threatened when tragedy strikes. Seemingly with everything going against him, Drew is forced to confront what has been holding him back and prepare for the biggest race of his life.
The film is produced by Howard Burd, Micah Sparks, Deborah Moore as well as Mark DiSalle and Jennifer Reibman.

The deal for "4 Minute Mile" was negotiated by Jason Moring for Double Dutch and Howard Burd on behalf of the filmmakers.
