Double-barrel dog adoption event coming to Glendale, Boulder

TANDEM ADOPTION - TracysDogs, a national dog rescue and transport nonprofit, has
scheduled a Tandem Adoption Event with PetSmart at the Boulder and Glendale stores Saturday – Sunday, March 16 and 17.

TracysDogs’ focus is saving adoptable dogs at kill shelters and finding the best homes for them they can. Each adotion frees space at its five Texas acre rescue facility for another dog.

The organization also transports dogs to new homes via a network of volunteer drivers and private pilots.

The adoption events will be from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. Information

PUPPY RESCUE - Colorado Puppy Rescue will hold its next adoption event Saturday, March 16 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Petco store at I-25 and Colorado Boulevard. Information http://www.coloradopuppy.org/

ART SHOW - The Lucky Dog Art Show, a benefit for MaxFund, will be Friday, March 18 from 5 to 10 p.m. at Wazee Union, 3501 Wazee Street, Denver.

Eleven local and national artists are being asked to create a “gig poster” for the show. Limited edition posters and postcard sets of the works submitted by the artists sold.

Admission is free. Refreshments will be available from the “Pink Tank” food truck. There will also be entertainment. Information

GET LUCKY - Humane Society of the Pike's Peak Region is offering people a chance to have Luck O' the Irish on St. Patrick's Day weekend when picking out an animal companion. Paricipants can reach into a hat to see how much of a discount they'll receive on Saturday, March 16 and Sunday, March 17. Information.

FOR CHOW HOUNDS - 240 Union restaurant in Lakewood will donate 25 percent of all food sales to the Foothills Animal Shelter on Tuesday, March 19 from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. The restaurant is at 240 Union Boulevard. To make reservations, contact 240 Union at 303-989-3562.
