William Henry Roberson was arrested last week by the Dothan Police Department and charged with misdemeanor animal cruelty after a live dog was found inside of a Dothan Animal Control storage freezer. The dog was still unconscious, although still alive; sadly he died within a few hours reported al.com.

The puppy was found in the freezer by another employee after Roberson overlooked a dead dog in a cage in the same room. The live puppy was in the freezer approximately a half-hour.

Roberson, 57, was suspended without pay, and has worked for Animal Control for 14 years.

On August 26, Dothan police stated Roberson had violated the city's personnel rules and regulations regarding professional conduct. Within the city's laws, misconduct is a major offense. The terms and conditions of Roberson's disciplinary action have not been made public.

Rest in peace innocent little puppy.
