'Dota 2' finally gets all random mode, troll warlord (Photos)

Valve Corporation’s popular action real-time strategy “Dota 2received Wednesday an important game mode. The patch included a hero, too.

All random is a carryover from the original “Warcraft 3” mod that automatically selects random heroes for players. The mode, along with all pick, was among the most-popular in the original mod. Players still have the option to re-pick their heroes, and they can still swap heroes with their teammates.

It is unknown if all random may be combined with other modes, like least played mode. However if it cannot be, Valve should allow players to combine the modes in future.

Jah’rakal, the troll warlord, was also introduced Wednesday. He is an agility carry with an innate bash ability without an internal cool-down.

The least played mode, which was introduced Jan. 17, was changed Wednesday to reduce the number of heroes players could select by 20, a change that forces many players to pick heroes they have only ever fought against, never played.

“Dota 2” remains in a beta stage somewhere between closed and open, but it is beginning to feel more open than closed. Players interested in the beta can sign up through Valve, or players can visit Twitter, which has many users with extra keys offering them for free every day.
