Dos Equis wants you celebrate Dos de Mayo with "The Most Interesting Man in the World" on May 2 instead of Cinco de Mayo, which falls on Sunday this year.

Dos Equis released the exclusive online video starring “The Most Interesting Man in the World” asking celebrators to spread the word about Dos de Mayo, Convenience Store News reported on Thursday, April 5. Gwendolyn Boyce, brand director for Dos Equis said that the Heineken USA, the White Plains, N.Y.-based company that owns Dos Equis, wants to put a unique twist on the Cinco de Mayo holiday.”

“Interesting is in our brand DNA, and we’re eager to give fans an opportunity to come together and celebrate with us at bars all over the country, and at a Dos de Mayo party with Maxim in Los Angeles.”

Since Sunday does not work for “The Most Interesting Man in the World” he wants you to “mobilize our friends, your co-workers, your mistresses, your neighbors, everyone” and celebrate Dos de Mayo on Thursday, May 2 this year.

Fans of Dos Equis, celebrators of Cinco de Mayo, or both, ages 21 and older, are invited to visit the Dos de May Equis website and enter for a chance to win an all-expense paid trip for two to the official inaugural Dos de Mayo party hosted by Maxim in Los Angeles. The Dos de Mayo website calls the celebration “A most interesting Cinco Party.”

At the Dos de Mayo website you can also watch the video of “The Most Interesting Man in the World” issuing a “call to arms to mobilize” everyone and “stay thirsty my friends.”
