Actor Jonathan Goldsmith, the famous face behind the Dos Equis commercials, is using his celebrity status to aid the fight against cancer in dogs.

Goldsmith, who resides in Manchester, hopes to raise money for the Morris Animal Foundation, a Denver-based organization that conducts veterinary research “for companion animals, horses and wildlife” according to a MSN News report.

The actor also made an online commercial for Orvis with his Anatolian Shepherd, Willie, for its dog catalog. Orvis, is famous for its fly fishing equipment and outdoor apparel. In addition to commercials and movies, Jonathan Goldsmith has also appeared in “Dallas”, “Magnum PI”, and “Charlie’s Angels.”

The 75-year-old is happy to support this cause because he also lost a dog to cancer. Now “man’s best friends” have “the most interesting man in the world” to speak for them.
