Dorial Green-Beckham, the nation's top wide receiver and overall player according to multiple recruiting analysts, announced that he will play for Missouri as they begin to move in to the SEC East.
One of the top story-lines heading in to National Signing Day was where Green-Beckham would land, with Missouri battling Arkansas and Oklahoma and others for his commitment. A recent visit to Missouri saw a grand welcoming for the nation's top player at a Missouri basketball game, with fans and students going all out to make him feel a part of their family.
For the Tigers, they will add one of the top playmakers in the nation and he should have an opportunity to play early on, if not right away. The 6'-6" receiver has drawn comparisons to Houston Texans receiver Andre Johnson and former NFL wide receiver Randy Moss. Green-Beckham will help Missouri's offense try to keep pace with the rest of the SEC, where playmakers are a necessity considering the level of defense that is played in the conference.
Missouri has been a team known to throw the football for a while now under Gary Pinkell, and that should be taken to the next level with a top-flight receiver.
Missouri is leaving the Big 12 and joining the SEC this season, along with Texas A&M.
