India Hines of No Junk Productions and Food for soul radio show hosted the unveiling ceremony of "Doors of Homes & Hope" project on October 5, 2013 at the Heritage Park in Norcross. Norcross City Mayor Bucky Johnson was also present at the opening ceremony of the project sponsored by city of Norcross and Gwinnett Habitat for Humanity Restore.
Gwinnett county artists decorated more than a 140 doors to support the families in need of affordable housing and arts in Gwinnett county. After the official unveiling ceremony, the doors are now on display at various locations around Gwinnett county including Thrasher and Heritage parks in Norcross, Main Street Town Green Duluth and Snellville City Hall.
The doors will be available for auction at the Gwinnett Habitat for Humanity Restore website with an opening bid of $100. The doors not sold at the auction will be available for cash and carry in November. All proceeds will go to Gwinnett Habitat for Humanity Restore and Art Works.
