Door to Door Organics, a leading natural and organic online grocer, is proud to announce its fifth annual holiday food drive benefiting Feeding America network food banks and locally run food backs in the communities they serve. In 2012 Door to Door Organics donated more than 300,000 pounds of canned goods and local, natural and organic produce to food banks in Colorado, Michigan, Kansas City, Tri-state and Chicago.
Door to Door Organics makes it simple for its customers to Give Good Food to those in need. The easiest and most economical way to give back is through an interactive Facebook application that enables followers to testtheir Good Food knowledge with a series of quick and fun quizzes. For everycorrect answer, Door to Door Organics will donate organic produce to those inneed through its network of food banks throughout the U.S.
“Door to Door Organics’ donations of first-quality organic fruits and vegetables offer struggling families, seniors, the disabled, and the underemployed access to much healthier food choices beyond what most food pantries usually offer,” says Cathy Snyder, director of Rolling Harvest Food Rescue in Lumberville, Pa.
Donations from customers will directly serve the following food banks:
