Doomwake Giant is one of the five alternate art prerelease promos from Wizards of the Coast's upcoming expert "Magic: The Gathering" "Journey Into Nyx." You'll also be able to snag a premium foil version of it in one of the set's five intro packs.

Doomwake Giant - 4B
Enchantment Creature - Giant (Rare)
Constellation - Whenever Doomwake Giant or another enchantment enters the battlefield under your control, creatures your opponents control get -1/-1 until end of turn.
Crippling fear precedes it. A foul stench accompanies it. Death follows in its wake.
4/6

Abusing Doomwake Giant requires multiple enchantments entering the battlefield on the same turn. Fated Intervention will produce two tokens, and flashing in a Boon Satyr will completely disrupt your opponent's combat plans. There's plenty of black options such as Herald of Torment and Nighthowler which will quickly become massive as your enemy's creatures die.

Luckily there's a few other cards that create enchantment tokens such as Hammer of Purphoros, which can put pressure on your opponent. Still that's only one enchantment a turn. You're going to need a little help from other cards to really take advantage of Doomwake Giant. Going red is a great option because Doomwake Giant really excels alongside inspired creatures such as Felhide Spiritbinder and Satyr Nyx-Smith. Of course there's plenty of inspired cards in other colors for you to choose from too.

If your deck is loaded with enchantment and bestow creatures, Athreos, God of Passage will make a fine addition. There's many white enchantments to run like Armaament of Nyx which will give one of your enchantment creatures double strike or prevent one of your opponent's creatures from dealing damage.

How will you use Doomwake Giant?
