Believe it or not, the Wahlberg brothers are going into yet another business venture, and just about everyone is overly excited about it. Donnie Wahlberg, Mark Wahlberg, and Paul Wahlberg are going to start a reality show based on their restaurant "Wahlburgers," and A&E is also thrilled about it. The LA Times reported on Jan. 9, 2013, that it isn't just popular but profitable.
The reality series called "Wahlburgers" premieres on A&E on Jan. 22, 2014, but fans are already clamoring for it. Tickets went on sale the other day for a premiere event and sold out in less than an hour.
The best part about that is that all of the money raised to promote the show will be donated to the Dorchester Youth Collaborative, a charity that serves low-income urban youth. There were just 100 tickets sold to for the "Wahlburgers" event, but $2,500 was raised for charity.
Some are wondering what "Wahlburgers" will be about, and it's exactly what it sounds like.
"Wahlburgers" is a restaurant in Hingham Harbor, MA, and it serves burgers, mac and cheese, tater tots, salads, fries, and the like. It is run by chef Paul Wahlberg and he will be the primary feature of the show, but there will be regular appearances by both Mark and Donnie Wahlberg.
So far, things are looking up for the Wahlbergs and charity and anyone interested in the show.
Mark Wahlberg currently has a number of movie projects in the works while Donnie Wahlberg is a regular on "Blue Bloods" and has numerous other things going on.
