Donna Karan is a master at working with jersey and draping. She showed her skills in the fall 13 fashion show with rich colors and jersey that hugs in the right places and drapes gracefully. It wasn't all draping though. There were plenty of fur and leather accents thrown into the mix for a stunning play on texture that will stand the test of time.

The colors in the Donna Karan show were smoked hues like dark slate, gray, chocolate and black. The mix of textures were sleek and inviting, especially for those who have limited experience experimenting with color.
The Donna Karan fashion show gave us a look at everything you can do with your wardrobe, even if you're a gal who's stuck on wearing dark shades. It's hard to step out of your comfort zone with color, which is why texture plays a big role in breaking up the monotony without making you feel like a clown.
The shapes were simple, plus there were capes. If you haven't jumped on the cape bandwagon, it may be time to start looking for one by the time next fall rolls around.
