Many of us hear about the large animal rescue groups like HSUS, ASPCA, and AHA. While these big groups get a lot of money and publicity, there are also countless little groups, like East Tennessee Alliance for Animals (ETAA), that struggle to raise enough funds to help the animals in their care.
ETAA is a small 501c(3) group located in Chattanooga, TN. Their primary mission is to educate the community on the importance of spay and neuter and on humane treatment of companion animals. They help approximately 250 dogs annually and currently have seven dogs in foster care.
Currently ETAA is trying to raise money to build doggie condos for their foster dogs that must live outside. They need to raise $1,500 to build housing for five dogs. These aren’t your typical dog houses, they will come complete with dog runs, A/C for the summer, and heat for the winter.
ETAA doesn’t just work with dogs, they’ve also been actively helping TNR feral cats in the area. As with all small non-profits, money is tight but ETAA uses its funds to help animals in need, and they need your help now. If you can, please help this worthy group and donate to help them with their doggy condo project.
