Morgan sustained horrific injuries to his right rear leg when hit by a car resulting in an exposed broken bone. Fortunately someone witnessed it and called the police who brought him to Fort Worth Animal Control. While suffering there for three days he stole the hearts of the staff. His picture was placed on the social media site facebook and within a day he was on his way to volunteer medical foster Anne Graber of St. Francis’ Angels in Houston who arranged his surgery.
Unfortunately his leg was beyond repair and had to be fully amputated. He will be in the care of St. Francis’ Angels until he is well enough to go to a regular foster until adopted through Red Collar Rescue.
His medical bills are nearly one thousand dollars. Anyone interested in donating for his care can call in donations directly to Foster Creek Veterinary Hospital at (832) 363-1227.
Morgan is expected to make a full recovery and find a loving family to give him a forever home. Anyone interested in adopting Morgan can contact Red Collar Rescue at RedCollarRescue@gmail.com , on their web site at http://www.redcollar.org, or through their facebook page here.
