Donald Trump thinks same sex marriage is like having the wrong golf club

Donald Trump in a recent interview stated:

“It’s like in golf. A lot of people — I don’t want this to sound trivial — but a lot of people are switching to these really long putters, very unattractive. It’s weird. You see these great players with these really long putters, because they can’t sink three-footers anymore. And, I hate it. I am a traditionalist. I have so many fabulous friends who happen to be gay, but I am a traditionalist.”

You might say, what is Trump talking about? You might be even tempted to swear, as I was  while writing this. Well,  from what I can figure out, same sex marriages, according to Trump, is like having the wrong putter. And with the wrong marriage, like the wrong putter, you can't sink a 3 foot shot. Sheesh, is this what settles for intellectualism among would be Republican candidates? I guess when your primary opponents are people like Michelle Bachmann and Rick Santorum, it isn't a high bar to meet.

So, gay couples, be warned that your having the right to marry who you want, is like having the wrong putter. But you might ask, aren't people allowed to choose different putters, even if alleged by Trump, that they are the wrong ones? Why yes, I am not aware of any law, let alone rule in golf, that prohibits you from using a wrong putter.

Trump by the way should know a lot about having the wrong putter. At current count, he had two wrong putters and now he is on his third putter. Nobody is stopping Trump from having the wrong putter, but Trump and others want to control which putter gay couples can have. Trump too wants you to be able to marry 3 putters, along as they putters of the opposite sex.
