Donald Trump talks about new cast, new season of ‘Celebrity Apprentice’

On Feb. 27, Donald Trump appeared on “Live with Kelly & Michael” to talk about the new season and the new all-star cast of “The Celebrity Apprentice.” He was very forthcoming about Sunday’s premiere and revealed juicy details about new cast members Bret Michaels, Omarosa Manigault, Gary Busey and Dennis Rodman. The Trumpster also gave viewers a sneak peek at the very first challenge, which takes place on the set of “Live.”

“They all did very well, even if they got fired, which most of them did,” Donald Trump stated on Wednesday. He revealed that he thought it was a bad idea for Bret Michaels to return for another season. “I told him that I thought he was making a mistake,” Trump told Kelly Ripa. “He has a target on his back, but he wanted to raise money for his charity.”

When asked about the nastiest competitor this season, Trump replied “Omarosa” without a second of hesitation. He then added, “You know, I love Omarosa, but she went down as the most evil person in the history of reality television and she’s very proud of it.” He added that Gary Busey is tough this time around and that Dennis Rodman has some “major, major explosions.”

When the new season of "The Celebrity Apprentice" premieres this Sunday, 14 all-stars will be split into two teams, Team Power and Plan B Team. Their first challenge is to create a food dish for a Meatball Challenge and then present it to the “Live” audience. Kelly Ripa and Michael Strahan pick a winner and phone Donald Trump to inform him of their choice. “They told me which was better and we went from there,” Trump explained.

This season’s “All-Star Celebrity Apprentice" brings back 14 contestants who compete in business-driven tasks around New York City. They work grueling hours and take on mentally challenging tasks that test their ability to work together. The overall winner gets $250,000 for his or her chosen charity. Last season, “The Celebrity Apprentice” raised more than $2,000,000 for various charities. Past winners include Arsenio Hall, John Rich, Bret Michaels, Joan Rivers and Piers Morgan.
