Donald Trump has never been quiet about his feelings whether it be in business or politics. According to The Huffington Post on Jan. 1, he boldly let the GOP know what he thought of their “deal” on the fiscal cliff, calling them the “the worst negotiators in history.”
Donald Trump was targeting the deal made late last night by Vice President Joe Biden and Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.). Trump said “Republicans got nothing” in the deal.”
“The Donald” took the GOP leadership to task on Twitter.
“@realDonaldTrump: Obama and the Democrats are laughing at the deal they just made...the Republicans got nothing!”
“@realDonaldTrump: I am a Republican...but the Republicans may be the worst negotiators in history!”
Donald Trump is a Republican, as he reminded his followers in the above tweet. He briefly considered a run for the presidency last year, but dropped that idea in mid-May 2012. Of course, in typical Trump bravado, he said that if he ran, he would have won.
"I maintain the strong conviction that if I were to run, I would be able to win the primary and ultimately, the general election," Trump said in a statement on Monday, May 14, 2012. "I have spent the past several months unofficially campaigning and recognize that running for public office cannot be done half-heartedly. Ultimately, however, business is my greatest passion and I am not ready to leave the private sector."
