If you live in the San Francisco/Oakland Bay Area and you are trying to think of something to do Saturday August 2nd and Sunday August 3rd, 2014 here is a great opportunity for you.
If you want to stay close to home you can enjoy the Art and Soul Festival in Downtown Oakland.
This 14th annual event will start at 12 noon and end at 6pm on both days. For your musical enjoyment on Saturday on the main stage you can check out Alabama Mike and His Bama Boys, Twice as Good and many more. On the Clay Street stage you can enlighten your day and feed your soul with the Gospel Showcase featuring artists like the Love Center Choir, Dasha Moore, Anthony Washington and the Levetical Movement and many others.

For the art and crafts lovers there is something here for you too. There will be plenty of local vendors with jewelry, paintings, clothing, items for your home, accessories and more.
The Art and Soul Festival is a good way for couples to spend some time together holding hands walking around taking in the sights while at the same time getting some exercise, enjoying the sun, eating good food and having some fun.
