The ninth annual Spring Jambando is slated for Saturday, April 26 at The Plaza Live in Orlando. The music for this indoor/outdoor single-day music festival starts at 5 p.m. and tickets are $10 at the gate for this all ages event.

What is Jamabando? “Spring Jambando is our biggest party of the year and always one of my favorite shows because it is designed to spotlight the original artists and bands that work so hard year-round to create our amazingly talented Orlando music scene that many still don’t know is right here under their noses,” said Dave Mann of Orlando band funkUs. “Even after 11 years of over 50 Jambandos, we still feel like each show is as important as the first towards bringing our music to a wider audience. That has been the founding tenement of Jambando and will never change.”

There will be three stages of live music. Music fans can enjoy sets by Shak Nasti, funkUs, RocketFish, Paddington Ambush, Eugene Snowden, The Dropa Stone, Ancient Sun, Buster Keaton, The Groove Orient, Drew Yardis, Holey Miss Moley, The Violent 5, Lauren Lester, Justin Kangrga, Meiuuswe and more. “Ancient Sun is excited to be returning to The Plaza for another Jambando,” said Rick Krasowski of Orlando band Ancient Sun. “This year’s line up is full of friends and the best musicians around, so don't miss this party. Jambando is where Orlando's local bands will be doing what they do best, sharing their passion with your ears. I hope to see you all there dancing!”

There will also be several artists at large at the Spring Jambando, Clay Watson, Christian Ryan, B.T.R.U.E., Chris Crackalackle and Legacy. An artist at large has the privilege to sit in with any band at the event adding a whole new dynamic to the band’s performance. “Jambando has been an event I have attended and been a part of since I first entered the music scene in 2010,” said saxophonist Christian Ryan. “It opened the doors to the many great things happening in Orlando for me and I am truly honored to be an artist at large for this event as well performing with my bands Buster Keaton and Holey Miss Moley. I have quite a game plan in store for Saturday.”

To rev up fans for the event, there will be a Jambando Stage series at Tanqueray’s during the Florida Music Fesival (FMF). On Wednesday, music fans can see The Drew Yardis Project and SIM, Thursday is Ancient Sun and Buster Keaton, Friday is The Groove Orient and funkUs and Saturday is Josh Lamkin & Automatic Heat and RJ Harman & Company.

The Plaza Live is located at 425 North Bumby Ave. in Orlando.
