The "History of the Blues" event that Darwin's in Marietta is hosting Saturday February 23 is the type of musical experience you are likely to remember for a lifetime. It will feature Mr. Eddie Tigner, Bob Page and Matt Wauchope all playing piano accompanied by Little G Weevil on guitar and Adam Goodhue on drums. That's three generations of piano players for your enjoyment!
Little G Weevil wrote a great post about the show on his Facebook page and I am taking the liberty of quoting it here:
"Friends, this Saturday Feb 23 the coolest event of all: Boogie Woogie Knockout w/Eddie Tigner, Bob Page, Matthew Wauchope, Adam Goodhue and myself at Darwin`s Burgers and Blues in Marietta. 3 generations of piano players are gonna rock all night for you celebrating piano Blues from New Orleans to St Louis. Now this is serious party time. Reserve your tables while you can!"
The music starts at 9 pm.but get there early and have some of Chef Aiken's great food. I strongly suggest you take Little G's advice and reserve a table (which is free.). Otherwise, be prepared to stand, but you'll probably be dancing, anyway!
