About 76 students performed and eight students hosted while nine were doing tech work and 38 students displayed their artwork—all at the Walter Reed Middle School Talent Show over the weekend.
The Reed's Got Talent 2013 show was the big benefit for the Friends of Humanities Academy. The parents sold flowers, food and baked goods to help supplement programs for their students at the public school in Studio City.
Some of the teacher's finale numbers in the past year are among the most anticipated moments by the school each year.
Also this year, history teacher Don Helverson teamed up with music teachers Stephen McDonough and Jessica O'Rourke for a special number that the students can relate to: "What a Wonderful World This Would Be" which has them lament about not knowing history, biology, geometry, algebra or the French they took as well as much more.
See the video above, as well as photos of the students and their artwork.
