With everyone runnng out buying special gifts for their loved ones, they should not neglect one or more of their extended family. If you are the type of person who considers your pets as part of the family, you need to remember that they should be treated just as nice at Christmas as everyone else. Whether you are ordering gifts online or going out to brave the busy stores, you can surely find something special for your little children.
Pet stores are great for buying everything under the sun for your pets. It doesn't matter what kind of animal you have, be it a bird, cat or dog, you can find whatever you need in these specialty stores. I can be special treats that they like to eat or just products to keep them warm during the harsh winter months, they will surely enjoy whatever you get for them. Christmas is a time to remember Christ, and thus his teachings of loving all creatures under the sun. This includes our children that we call our pets.
Make sure that you involve your pets in your Christmas festivities. Remember them while you are spending more time with your family. Many animals can become depressed, like humans, during this time of year. Imagine being a dog... it is cold outside, and you don't see your master for days and days except for feeding time. This time can be hard on the little fellows. Remember to make a little time for them while you are entertaining guests and family this year. They are family, and they celebrate Christmas just as we do!

Everytime we let Rascal and Sugar stay inside overnight, they give us the "gift" that keeps on giving...
Good article, Richard. My little English Setter, Daisy, gets better treatment in this house than my husband and me put together. What a dog's life!

Yes, they put up with us not matter what!
We used to have a dog who opened his own gifts. And don't even think of trying to help him.... once he smelled that it was food, he thought you were taking it from him and he would snap at you. He didn't realize you were just trying to start tearing the paper so he could open it easier. hee hee
Yes, they are always deserving of a special treat at Christmastime. They are part of the family and give unconditional love always. Thanks for sharing and reminding everyone with pets to grab something extra when they pass the pet aisle before Christmas.
