Don't expect Twitch streaming on your Xbox One for "a few more months"

It was incredibly ironic that Microsoft announced Twitch streaming on the Xbox One only to be beat out by Sony's PlayStation at a later date. And while many are streaming (as much as 20% of Twitch's total userbase) on the PS4, many are wondering when the feature will finally release on the One. Yesterday, the official Twitter account of the streaming service commented on how much longer fans will need to wait.

"Xbox One Direct Broadcasting: There is no ETA at this time from Microsoft. Expect a few more months," the tweet reads, "If we know sooner, we'll update."

This is very unfortunate for fans of the Xbox One. While the app is available on the marketplace, it currently only allows users to watch streams. And while it can be snapped, unlike on the PlayStation, that hardly makes up for a feature that was promised many, many months ago.

Many are guessing that the update will arrive before Microsoft's big Titanfall exclusive releases on March 11, 2014. It would certainly help with further promotion for the title and gives them a solid date to aim for.
